About Margie
I’m a woman seeking MORE out of life! I’m on my path to fulfillment and want to help others along their path. I’m pursuing what I want to do with my life and my energy, reinventing my career and increasing my everyday joy. I’m paying attention to the present moment. I’m getting my priorities in line with my heart. I’m learning (and loving it!) to take care of myself so I can be of service to you.
Why Coaching?
I’m passionate about helping professional women just like you discover a fulfilling life! I want to help you discover the answers within you that will help you enjoy your journey, get MORE out of your life, and achieve your goals. I’m excited to show you how little “tweaks” in your life can have a BIG impact; how you have the power to make your life work FOR you.
I’ve successfully used coaching strategies and tools in my own life, with individual clients, and in small groups at workshops. I love using these tools in my own life and I’m passionate about sharing them with professional women just like you.
Professional Experience
I have over 20 years of professional experience in just about every aspect of an educational setting – research, teaching, and administration. First of all, I’m a scientist and it fits my character – I’m inquisitive, organized, and persistent. I managed a university research laboratory for over a decade and thoroughly enjoyed that phase of my career. I’ve also spent years in the role of instructor. I naturally gravitate toward teaching because I love to learn and want to share that passion with others. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching science, human resources topics, small group facilitation skills, and much more over the years. I’ve also been a successful project manager and supervisor. I’ve thrived when encountering the everyday work challenges of increasing productivity, meeting deadlines, and solving problems. In my role as an administrator over the last several years I’ve tapped into my natural talents for planning, organization, problem solving and process improvement on a daily basis.
All of these experiences and skills have enabled me to effectively coach women like you to achieve their goals. I’ve successfully developed and led both professional- and skills-development workshops. I have a history of serving in a leadership capacity, providing guidance and motivation, and partnering with others to reach their objectives.

Personal Interests
I can be found with my nose in a book just about any time I have a few moments to myself. Actually, I’m usually rotating between several books at any one time. I just can’t help it! There are too many books and too little time.
I’m an avid crafter. I’ve explored and enjoyed many over the years – needlepoint, cross stitch, candle making, tie-dye, stained glass, mosaics, beading jewelry, and knitting, just to name a few.
I’m a natural-born organizer. You know those people who have their spice rack alphabetized? Yep, I’m one of them. I didn’t know it wasn’t what everyone else did. It’s just how my mind works. I love to organize just about anything or anyone. However, as much as I enjoy organizing I would never insist that others use my organization scheme. I say, live and let live. But if you want a little help … I certainly do find satisfaction in a well-organized space.
I’m a Jazzercise enthusiast and have been for over 20 years. It’s such a great workout and so much fun to do! It’s a little bit of everything all rolled into one – and that suits me to a tee. I especially love, love, love my local franchise studio – Geist Jazzercise!
