How do you play the “Blame Game”?


“I told them I couldn’t be responsible if they didn’t …”

“It wasn’t me.”

“It’s not my fault!”

“If so-and-so had only …”

They left me no choice.”

When things don’t go as we planned, it’s easy to slip into the blame game.

We get defensive.

We look for someone to point the finger at in order to let ourselves off the hook.

Ogres are like onions


I love the Shrek movies.  They’re entertaining and heartwarming.
Plus, there are so many clever lines.

One of my favorites is when Shrek says that ogres are like onions.  His friend, Donkey, assumes that ogres are like onions because they both smell.  Shrek corrects him and says, “No!  They have layers.  There’s more to us underneath.”


Now, I’m not comparing you to an ogre; trust me.  And yet, I am thinking that we all have layers.  We’re pretty complex, aren’t we?


The journey of self-discovery can be likened to peeling back the layers of an onion, one layer at a time, discovering what’s underneath.  There IS more to each of us underneath the surface.


I invite you to begin peeling back the layers of your own mind and heartI invite you to open yourself to self-discovery.


Move beyond the surface and see what awaits you underneath.

Feeling overwhelmed?


I know it so well.  That feeling of overwhelm.
Feeling like I’ll never get it all done.
Feeling like I have so much to do and not enough time to do it in.
Feeling pressured by all I want to accomplish and all that my life entails.
Feeling like it never ends, no matter how efficient I am.
