Whose grass is greener, really?

 

You know that old saying that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence?  It’s hard not to buy into that when you’re feeling not-so-lucky and maybe not-so-happy with your circumstances.

At times I find myself saying “If only this would happen” or “If only that were true.”  If only this.  If only that.  It could go on forever!

Dive Right In

 

Dive right in!  Don’t just dip your toe in the water and then shrink away when it feels chilly.

No!  The way to do it is to dive right in!  And what happens once you’re in?  The water’s not so chilly.  You’re splashing around and having fun.  And the next thing you know, you’re urging everyone else to c’mon in.  You’re telling them not to be babies about it – “Just dive in; you’ll be glad you did!”

Yes, but that’s with swimming.

That’s not the way to handle fear and anxiety, you say.
